01Purpose of establishment

The "One-to-One Precision One-Week" spine minimally invasive training class was led by Professor Wang Yang (in charge), deputy director of the Orthopedics-Spine Surgery Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. Help students learn in-depth theoretical knowledge of spine surgery and minimally invasive surgery, and improve their clinical practice abilities in a targeted manner.

02Research participants

The second training member is Dr. Wang Lu from the Department of Chongqing Municipal People’s Hospital. He showed great interest in this study class: “The Second Affiliated Hospital has carried out a variety of minimally invasive spinal techniques, including single-channel surgery. Spinal endoscopy, dual-channel spinal endoscopy (UBE), arthroscopy-assisted single-port spinal endoscopy (AUSS) and other minimally invasive surgeries, I hope to learn and communicate better by participating in the training class this time.”

03Activity content

At the opening ceremony of the training class, Professor Wang Yang, on behalf of the department, expressed a warm welcome to Dr. Wang Lu and introduced the teaching arrangements of the training class in detail. The course content is rich and colorful, including theoretical teaching, clinical ward rounds and practical surgical demonstrations. The theoretical courses are mainly arranged on Tuesday afternoons every week. The content involves the discussion of difficult cases, the review of last week's surgical cases and the study of the latest spine surgery literature. It aims to provide students with comprehensive theoretical education; the practical surgical demonstration part covers many topics. A variety of minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as percutaneous single-port spinal endoscopic surgery, dual-channel endoscopic spinal surgery, dual-channel endoscopic lumbar fusion, microscope-assisted anterior cervical spine surgery, and lateral approach lumbar fusion, etc., are Trainees are provided with hands-on opportunities to enhance their clinical skills.

case discussion

This week’s surgical demonstration cases cover single-port spinal endoscopic lumbar disc nucleus pulposus removal (intervertebral foraminal approach and interlaminar approach), single-port spinal endoscopic lumbar annulus fibrosus suturing, and dual-channel endoscopic surgery. Lower lumbar spinal fusion (UBE-LIF), arthroscopy-assisted single-port spinal endoscopic surgery (AUSS) for the treatment of highly free lumbar disc herniation, and microscope-assisted anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for various types of spinal microsurgery. invasive surgery. Professor Wang Yang emphasized that the training class aims to become a refueling station for doctors to grow professionally, providing each participating doctor with updated medical knowledge and improved technical skills. He hopes that doctors can gain valuable knowledge and improve their technical skills through the training class, thereby providing patients with higher-quality and more professional medical services. Subsequently, Professor Wang Yang started the lecture "Experiences on the Application of Single and Double Channels in the Treatment of Lumbar Spinal Diseases". He explained in detail the treatment of lumbar spine diseases using single-channel and double-channel technology in an easy-to-understand way, combined with his own practical experience. Application in treatment, sharing my own thoughts and insights.
